Join us in creating a world where
grief is accepted everywhere.
Grieve Leave is building a world where grief is no longer hidden, minimized, or treated as something people should quietly “get over.” Founded by Rebecca Feinglos, Grieve Leave has grown from one woman’s honest storytelling into an internationally recognized community reaching millions through media, events, workplace education, and advocacy. We are entering an exciting new chapter as we pursue nonprofit status and hire our first Executive Director.
We are seeking a Founding Executive Director to help lead Grieve Leave into its next era of growth and impact. This leader will partner closely with the Founder and Board to build the strategy, systems, partnerships, and team needed to expand our reach while preserving the heart of who we are.
$115,000–$145,000, commensurate with experience, plus benefits as organizational capacity grows.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape how grief is understood and supported for a new generation while building a beloved founder-led brand into a lasting institution.

Intern
Remote/Hybrid, Must reside in the Triangle area of North Carolina (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, or surrounding communities)
$15/hour
At Grieve Leave, we're on a mission to change the way the world talks about grief – and with a community of over 30K and growing, and online reach well into the millions, we are building that world, together. Grieve Leave provides a platform to share experiences of loss and reduce the sense of isolation, trains workplaces on how to better support grieving employees, and works to change policies that can better support people through their losses – whether they're due to a death, a break-up, a cross-country move, a diagnosis, or something else.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized intern to help us plan and grow Sad Hours, our signature grief community gatherings, while supporting our broader event and partnership efforts. In this role, you will help scout venues, research potential sponsors, and coordinate social media content that brings people into these spaces. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain experience in event planning, partnership development, and digital content creation, all while making a real difference in the lives of those experiencing grief.
10 hours/week
